Lightweight Composite New Materials
STARK's Institute of Lightweight New Composite Materials is jointly established by STARK and academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the Royal Academician of the United Kingdom, the European Academician of Science, and well-known domestic materials experts.

The research institute has built a lightweight product platform in the field of new energy based on world leading carbon fiber, basalt fiber, and various alloy material technologies. This platform includes a complete industrial chain of lightweight material technology innovation, technology industrialization, and application services.

  Can replace a variety of metal materials

The mechanical properties of composite materials, corrosion resistance, sound insulation, thermal insulation, noise reduction and other aspects have outstanding characteristics, the strength, thermal stability and electrical insulation properties of composite materials reinforced with carbon fiber and basalt fiber are superior to most metal materials, and can replace traditional metal parts to a large extent.

  Performance and life is better than steel

Compared with steel products, composite material products have many advantages such as low cost, environmental protection, light weight (1/4 of steel), good rigidity, high strength, strong water resistance and corrosion resistance, excellent thermal insulation performance, and the design service life of the product is more than 50 years.

  Rich processing technology & products

Composite product production process covers pultrusion, molding, lamination, winding, vacuum assisted molding and other production and manufacturing processes, fiber composite materials in addition to a variety of profiles, but also according to customer parts technical requirements for a variety of complex structural products.
